ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“On Sunday night sometime around 10:45 p.m., Orange Walk police were called to the scene of a fire in San Jose Village where Jose Juchim reported to police that sometime earlier that night, himself and his common-law wife were socializing and thereafter he got into an altercation where Juchim suffered some injuries. As a result, he took his kids and then went over to his sister’s home in order to avoid any further problems with his common-law wife. As a result, this house is being rented by Juchim and his common-law wife and the proprietor of this building later saw the common-law wife leaving, and shortly thereafter she saw smoke and then fire. The woman then ran away from the scene where she fell and was unconscious and was transported to the Orange Walk hospital where she was treated and she is now detained pending this investigation.”
