Central American Summit concludes in Taiwan

The Central American Leaders Summit in Taipei, Taiwan concluded today with a trade and investment seminar. The Belize delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Johnny BriceƱo attended a one-day summit hosted by President Lee Tieng Hui on the sixth. Leaders from other Central American nations as well as the Dominican Republic discussed the region’s investment climate, trade and tourism, environmental protection and economic integration. The Deputy Prime Minister was accompanied by Minister of Works Henry Canton, Ambassador Gonzalo Quinto, Permanent Secretary David Gibson, Senator Eamon Courtenay and Mike Bejos of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
