Celebrations continue with storytelling contest
The September Celebrations activities continue tonight with the presentation of the ten finalists in the George McKesey Storytelling Competition. They were chosen after two days of elimination rounds from a total of forty-two entries. In the elimination round contestants were judged on their presentation, the way the story was told, the duration of the story and its relevance to Belize. The storytellers will be competing for a first prize of one thousand dollars. Second place is five hundred dollars and third place gets two hundred and fifty dollars. The event gets underway at seven p.m. at the Bliss Institute.
