Shooting in Sand Hill
There was another shooting that occurred on Sunday but is not gang-related. Dean Vaccaro was shot by his relative Albert Vaccaro during an argument in Sand Hill Village just after midday. It is not known what triggered the argument, but it ended with Albert pulling out his licensed gun and firing a single shot at Dean. Here’s ASP Fitzroy Yearwood would more details.
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Director, Belize Police Department
“Albert Vaccaro a car dealer reported that Dean Vaccaro went to his home, private property and was being a nuisance and was behaving in a boisterous behaviour. He’s claiming that he asked Dean on several times to leave his property but Dean refused to do so. Dean became more aggressive, he went for his licensed nine millimetre and he is claiming that he fired a single shot, trying to deter Dean from being so aggressive and it caused an injury to Dean who was transported to the K.H.M.H. and is in a stable condition. We also gathered that the argument was allegedly over some vehicle parts that Dean believed he was entitled to.”
