Angelus Press and B.T.B. launch exercise books

Story Picture
This new school year, students will have more than just the usual multiplication table and measurements on the back of their exercise books. In conjunction with the Belize Tourism Board, the Angelus Press has released a new series of exercise books. The blanks feature seven different colorful scenes that highlight Belize’s attractions and tourist destinations. Alberto Young, the manager of sales and marketing at the Angelus Press says the new books are a part of a plan to educate children on the importance of Belize’s tourism product.

Alberto Young, Manager, Sales/Marketing, Angelus Press

“Well seeing what was on the market for some years we believed that the images and the quality of exercise books had to be improved on specifically the information. We thought that tourism was a good topic. It is important to our economy and the information we have in there will be beneficial to students and so on and I am sure educating them will continue to contribute to tourism.”

Q: “What features do you all have on the books?”

Alberto Young

“Well of course you have your times table at the back, but there are seven different designs. One specifically is the map of Belize which is a full color map and has all the different tourist sites and locations in Belize. We also have information on the Mayan sites, on other tourist sites and ethnic groups in Belize and detail information that was provided by the Tourism Board.”

Q: “Is the price just as attractive?”

Alberto Young

“Well it’s more attractive I believe.”

Young says the cost of a dozen blanks is only six dollars and ninety-six cents. Other attractions include images of the Toucan, the Morpho Falls, Turneffe Island, the Caracol Ruins, the Rio Frio Caves, and an underwater scene at Half Moon Caye. If the pictures look familiar that is because they are the ones used in B.T.B.’s new marketing campaign.
