Belize City man beaten by eight men
A twenty-one year old man told police he was beaten and robbed and when he regained consciousness he was beaten again, this time by seven men. So far police have only detained one man in connection with the incident and are seeking the others. Kemanie Lacayo told police he was walking on Flamboyant Street on Wednesday night around eleven p.m. when he was approached by a man he knows only as “Buju” and several other men. Lacayo says “Buju” took fifty dollars from his pants pocket and then hit him until he was unconscious. When he woke up, he says the other men then attacked and beat him unconscious again. Nelson Terry, also known as “Buju” is detained pending charges of theft, harm and common assault.
