5 year old molested in Benque
While no one seems to be able to stop the persistent sexual abuse of children, people do seem more likely now to step in when they see something wrong. Concerned citizens of Benque Viejo del Carmen called police to report that a Guatemalan mason was molesting a five year old child. Police and a social worker took the child, who was still bleeding, to the Mopan Clinic where a medical officer certified she had been abused. She is now in the care of the Human Development Department. Forty year old Edgar Rene Hernandez Diaz has been detained pending charges of unlawful carnal knowledge.
