Motorcade launches Miss Cultural Heritage

It’s not proclaiming itself as the pageant of distinction, but the Cultural Heritage Carnival Band is looking for one woman to best represent Belizean culture. The contestants will present themselves to the public on Thursday August 12th at the City Centre. Today, there was a motorcade through the streets of Belize City to advertise their corporate and associate sponsors. Leroy Green, president of Cultural Heritage Carnival Band says this contest will not be based on looks but rather intelligence and the ability to dance in their special pageant costumes under the theme, “Belize Fantasia Flora and Fauna”. They will be appearing on stage in swimsuits, casual wear, evening gowns and of course carnival costumes.
