Prime Minister Comments on Departure of CEO Guerra From Ministry of Natural Resources

Over the weekend, news circulated on social media that CEO in the Ministry of Natural Resources, Dr. Lesbia Guerra had resigned from her post just eleven months into her appointment. Some comments suggested there was a conflict with the minister or that Guerra was among the candidates being considered to be appointed as Director of Health Services.  But when News Five contacted Prime Minister John Briceño about the report today, he responded by saying that while they have not decided where Dr. Guerra will be posted, “Our government will continue to use her talent and experience.” Briceño confirmed that Guerra had only signed up as CEO in that Ministry for one year. She become eligible for holiday and that is the reason she departed after eleven months.
