Beaten man in coma at K.H.M.H.
While police have yet to determine whether robbery was also the motive for another incident last night, the victim is in a coma at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Officers from the Belize City Police Department reported that while they were on patrol around 10 on Wednesday night, August 4th they found a man lying on the ground at the corner of Pickstock St. and New Road. His face was badly swollen and it appeared he had been beaten. However, he was incoherent and unable to tell police what happened to him. When he arrived at the K.H.M.H. he slipped into unconsciousness. He has been identified as Talbert Lamb, also known as “Brains”. Police have no leads in the case and are hoping Lamb will soon recover to provide them with the necessary information. If you know anything about this incident, you are asked to contact the nearest police station.
