Belizean Artists Sign With Universal Music

Five Belizean musicians are now signed to Universal Music Group.  Area Representative for Mesopotamia and former Bad Boy Musician Shyne Barrow flew into Belize last week with Senior V.P. at U.M.G., Steven Victor to sign these contracts. In a press statement Shyne said “All the artists I signed, Supa G Martinez, Stig Da Artist, Ty Musik, Dajah Glamor, Marlyn Vansen are established and self contained. They will continue to operate independent, owning their masters and receiving the vast majority of any profits as a result of this partnership.” Stig Da Artist stopped by our studio today to tell us more about this latest signing.

“First of all I am very grateful that I am one of the persons who got the deal and will be representing Belize, which is what I have been doing from the very start. Shyne brought the guy Victor. He made the link for me and the other artist. It is a good feeling, but the way I see it, now the work really start. We get the opportunity weh all Belizeans artist mih the pray and hope fah. So, what next? For me, the grind really start now. I have distribution deal with Universal Music Group. So, I have some albums I need to deliver and with that those guys will distribute it and business.”
