“There’s no going around it, sooner or later, Belize must address the issue of a formal trade policy at a free trade level with Mexico and I hope the private sector plays a significant role in the development of the Belize position.”
“Quite often we trade at the primary level of products because we don’t have the technology to move products into the secondary phrase, it was really good to know that we could take projects from our members to the ministry of Foreign Affairs to be able to obtain that kind of support.”
Also in the delegation were representatives from Big H Enterprises, New River Enterprises, Hillbank Agriculture Company, Brodies, Shell One-Stop, Northern Fishermen Cooperative Society Ltd., Belize Livestock Producers Association, Belize Chamber and Industry, Belize Business Bureau, Traveller’s Limited and the Citrus Growers Association.
