Gas station attendant held for accidental shooting
Police are investigating what may be an accidental shooting early this morning at the F and O Gas Station near the BelChina Bridge. Gas Station attendant Jose Gomez reported to police that around 2 a.m. he was seated on a stool with his licensed 12 gauge pump action shotgun talking with three men. He says one of them asked for the time and as he moved his arm to check his watch the gun went off shooting one of his acquaintances Jose Garcia in the shoulder. Garcia was hospitalized for his injury. Gomez is in police custody being questioned about the incident.
