Drummers get organized in Orange Walk
Most Primary Schools are closed and it is summer camp season. For kids interested in music, drumming in particular, Music World One Drummers Fever ’99, opened in Orange Walk yesterday. Twenty-five children between the ages of seven and nine signed up for two weeks of lessons from eight senior drum instructors. According to the camp’s organizer, Leonard Zul, they have plans to expand the Central Drummers Corps, recruiting new members in time for the September Celebrations. Anyone still interested in attending the summer camp are asked to assemble in front of the Escapade Theatre in Orange Walk Town daily between two and five in the evening.
