More fires in San Miguel
Three families in San Miguel, Punta Gorda are without homes tonight after a fire broke out shortly around eleven Tuesday night. According to reports the flames totally engulfed buildings belonging to Sebastian Coh, John Coh and Ricardo Cuz. At this time it is not known how the fire ignited but P.G police say the blaze started from inside Sebastian’s kitchen and quickly spread to John’s cement house and Cuz’s shed. Forty nine year old Sebastian tired to put out the fire inside his kitchen but was injured as he fell off a ladder. He was burned on his hands and has been hospitalized in Punta Gorda. Police have detained a man identified only as Seperiano whom they believe can assist them in their investigation. Police would not comment on whether this latest incident is connected in any way to arson only two weeks ago in San Miguel. Hubert Cus’ truck and home were set on fire while the family slept. No one was injured and Cus told news five he believes several villagers who were jealous of his business success were responsible. Although police rounded up several men no one has been charged.
