Fiddlers on the reef entertain children

The “Fiddlers on the Reef” are back. After a two-year absence the members of the ensemble which is part of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra in Southern California are once again touring Belize to expose schoolchildren to classic music. Since their arrival on June first the fiddlers have performed for the children in the Stann Creek, Toledo and Cayo districts and this week they will be in San Pedro and Belize City. The chamber music group began their school tours in 1991. This year they will also hold a special concert to help raise funds for the Museum of Belize this Saturday night at the House of Culture. The benefit is being held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Mrs. Musa. Contact the House of Culture for ticket information.
