Story Picture
The Belize National Selection Examination results are out and St. Ignatius School has much to celebrate with one of their students getting the highest score in the nation. Fifty of their standard six class scored above the ninetieth percentile and all their students passed. Tareek Young came in first with a 99.9 and Melanie Perrera was third with 99.5.

Tareek Young, First Place

“I was, how you say… I was overjoyed! I expected to do well but I did not expect to do this well.

The school provided preparation classes for the B.N.S.E. and that really helped me in doing well in the B.N.S.E.”

Q: “What are your plans for the future?”

Tareek Young

“I intend to go to St. John’s College and from there go to sixth form. And from there study abroad to become a lawyer.”

Melanie Perrera, Third Place

“I found the Science very difficult and the Math very easy because our teacher prepared us.”

Q: “What are your plans for the future?”

Melanie Perrera

“My plans are to attend St. Catherine’s Academy and go into the medical field to be either a pediatrician or a gynecologist.”

St. Ignatius will hold its graduation on June twenty-fourth.
