People’s Assembly in Dangriga
The National Civil Society Steering Committee, the National Garifuna Council and the Dangriga Civil Society are hosting the third annual Civil Society Assembly. The two-day event at the Round House in Dangriga will focus on bringing about the proposals of the People’s Manifesto which was developed in December of 1997. The sessions, which end tomorrow, will look at issues such as land ownership, political reform, social and economic justice, education and youth empowerment. The Civil Society Steering Committee is a non partisan group of organizations interested in national development issues.
