Council on Aging Denounces Violent Video and Bystanders Who Filmed It

The National Council on Aging has come out against the violent act seen in a viral video where an elderly man is being knocked unconscious. N.C.A. in its release says there is no justifiable reason for any member of our society to attack an older person violently and heartlessly. N.C.A. says, this incident, recorded sometime around January twenty-second is not the first time they have seen physical harm being perpetrated on an older person, specifically older men.  The National Council on Aging condemns not only all acts of violence towards older persons, but the passivity of the bystanders in this case. They not only witnessed this heinous act, but also filmed it.  N.C.A. is calling on the Belize Police Department to continue their investigations and on anyone in Belmopan who may have information to provide that to police.
