Two die in Northern Highway accident

A police constable and his passenger are dead after their car collided into a pick-up truck yesterday morning just outside Orange Walk. According to reports thirty year old constable Artimio Perez and twenty-four year old Raquel Catzim were in Perez’s car heading to Orange Walk when they crashed into a pick-up truck driven by Sitero Blanco travelling in the opposite direction. Catzim died on the spot and Perez died on the way to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Blanco, who received minor injuries, was treated at the Orange Walk Hospital and later released. So far no charges have been brought against Blanco.
