U.C.B. holds Y2K symposium

“The idea here is to pull experts and professionals in various fields of the Government and to inform the Belizean public as to in what ways the year 2000 might affect Belizeans. Also to say then how they are dealing with it as far as getting ready to handle the subjects and the information passed on to clients. It’s going to involve a number of individuals ranging from public utilities including B.T.L., B.E.L., to government banks, everybody.
We will be discussing health, telecommunications, education and finance. A number of other issues that will come to bear on the Belizean public quite heavily.”
The symposium will be held this Friday at the U.C.B. Belmopan Campus and starts at nine a.m.
