Taxi driver robbed by passengers
Six days after they warned taxi drivers to be careful about being taken for a ride by thieves, Belize City police are reporting another holdup on the road. According to C.I.B., thirty four year old Daniel Logan reported to them that while he was driving his red Toyota on Lakeview Street after nine on Sunday night two young men stopped him and asked if he could take them to the Water and Sewerage Authority building on Central American Boulevard. But when Logan got to the location the men ordered him to go to a street behind the WASA building. There it is reported one of the occupants held up Logan with a gun while the other man robbed him of one hundred and twenty five dollars. Today police say they do not yet have any suspects. In the meantime the police are stressing to taxi drivers to be wary of their passengers, especially at night.
