New Chief Environmental Officer is Anthony Mai
The Ministry of Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management announced today that Anthony Mai has been promoted to Chief Environmental Officer. According to a government release, Mai has over fifteen years experience working with the Department of Environment, most recently as the senior environmental officer. He possesses a graduate degree with a concentration in sustainable development from Galen University and an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Belize. The department congratulates Mai on the new post and says he is expected to “aid in bridging the environment-development nexus in Belize.”
