Rocky Matura escapes again
You would think Corozal Police would have had Rocky William Matura under heavy guard knowing he had only recently escaped from Hattieville Prison, but on Tuesday night Matura broke out of jail again. This time in Corozal he was accompanied by fellow inmate CorozaleƱo Ernesto Cervera. Matura escaped from Hattieville on March 30 in the company of three other prisoners, including convicted murderer Juan Alvarez. All four were picked up the next day and returned to Hattieville Prison. Matura and another inmate Cervera had been taken back to Corozal, however, to stand trial for their alleged crimes of burglary and robbery. Their court cases were adjourned until April 29th and it seems the two youths aged 18 and 19, had no intention of hanging around for two weeks. They escaped from the Corozal Police Station Tuesday night by removing several boards from the cell and damaging the door. Both are still roaming free.
