Lights on Van May Have Triggered Fire

Fire investigators say the prison van caught fire after the van’s strobe lights fell off. Initial investigation suggests the malfunction triggered an electrical surge.  Fire Station Supervisor, Kenneth Mortis told us more.

“We did gather information about a van on fire. We learnt that the van is a part of police department. It was travelling from Belize City. Initial reports stated that the strobe lights situated on top of the van, for some reason or reasons unknown, that fell off and triggered some electrical malfunction, which in turn created fire damage to the engine compartment then created fire damage to the front cab of the van. The van was occupied by two officers. Fortunately, no one was juried in this scenario.”
