Miss Belize to Colombia

To help her prepare for the Miss Universe Pageant this May in Trinidad and Tobago, Miss Belize Viola Jeffrey leaves for Colombia tomorrow. She will complete her final training and consult with a designer. Naturally she is excited about her trip and about representing Belize in Trinidad.

“I am preparing to go to Miss Universe and I have found a really good Colombian designer. And I think that most people realize that they have good designers in Colombia. They will be designing my complete wardrobe for the Miss Universe Pageant. As well I have been offered a training course in Colombia where I will be trained in interviewing, in speech and stage walking and all that sort of stuff.

I feel very excited. I think that since I have gotten the support especially from the Belizean Government, I feel even more proud to go and represent Belize because I’ve gotten the okay from the entire country. And I am privileged that I have been invited by the Colombian Ambassador and the Government of Colombia. So I am really excited.”

Jeffrey returns to Belize April thirtieth. Her cultural costume for the Miss Universe Pageant depicts the Rainforest and Mayan culture. Miss Belize also received training for the Miss Universe Pageant in Mexico.
