Crime Stoppers Asking for Assistance
While it is trying to make solving crime easier, Crime Stoppers gives rewards as incentives and now it is asking the public for help to keep the rewards fund open.
Lauren Smith, Coordinator, Crime Stoppers
“Once an arrest is made you’ll see that we’ll put in an arrest on the posters, so you’ll see that. Very few people that have genuine information are seeking rewards, but nonetheless rewards are available for the crimes and that’s based on a scale. We don’t issue a lot of rewards, but we do have a lot of cases that are closed based on arrests. If anybody would like to contribute to the program we’d be grateful.”
Marion Ali
“How can they do that?”
Lauren Smith
“They could contact us through our Crime Stoppers Belize Facebook page or our website. There’s a page for funding that we would accept some funding to.”
