C.W.U. Case to be Heard in Full in May

The matter is set to be heard, in full, on the tenth and eleventh of May.  According to Smith, the points in the argument being made on behalf of his clients are nothing new.

Godfrey Smith

Godfrey Smith, Attorney-At-Law

“At this juncture, all we needed to satisfy the court of since we were seeking an interim as opposed to a permanent injunction or remedy is that there is a serious question to be looked into.  We did not have to resolve it once and for all, that will come at the later stage when the matter comes on, the hearing, the full constitutional motion on, I believe, it’s the tenth and the eleventh of May.  So that’s really what happened and why the passage of the supplementary appropriations is not enough or at this juncture it was deemed that there was a serious question over it still. These arguments really are not new.  These things were litigated in the same case that came before from Chief Justice Kenneth Benjamin.  The research is not new.  It’s research that’s been used by parties before.”
