Dramatic footage of Juan accident

Story Picture
Anyone who has viewed the wreckage would agree that it’s amazing that former Minister of Government, Eduardo “Dito” Juan and Martha Molino are alive after their pick-up collided into a dump truck yesterday. A third passenger, Leopold Palacio was not so fortunate and died on the spot. According to reports, around mile 22 on the Western Highway Juan was attempting to overtake the dump truck but quickly tried to pull back after he noticed a vehicle was coming in the opposite direction. The Toyota pick-up truck made contact with the dump truck causing both vehicles to run off the highway. When the vehicles finally came to a stop, the pick-up was trapped underneath the truck with Juan and his two companions still inside. In order to free them, a loader was used to lift the truck off the twisted piece of metal pinned underneath. Both Molino and Juan, who appeared to be unconscious when they were pulled out, were rushed to a waiting ambulance. Those who managed to free Juan and Molino were no doubt heartened by finding the two alive, but when they got to Palacio it was obvious there was nothing they could do. He was already dead. According to authorities at the K.H.M.H., Juan’s condition has improved today but he remains hospitalized with a broken collarbone. Molino, who received only minor injuries, remains in the K.H.M.H. under observation. According to Inspector Martin Yama of the police traffic branch they still can’t say who was at fault since they are still investigating the incident.
