Teacher charged with impregnating teen

Cases of unlawful carnal knowledge and indecent assault are so frequent these days they are beginning to seem like commonplace occurrences. But police have not lessened their attack on offenders and today a twenty-five year old teacher from Ladyville was taken to court. Police allege that Valan Hendy has been having sex with a fifteen year old girl since November of last year. The girl’s mother suspected that she was having sexual intercourse and took her to a doctor who confirmed that the girl is pregnant. Today Hendy was taken to Magistrate’s Court where he was charged with unlawful carnal knowledge. He met bail of four thousand dollars and will reappear in court on April thirtieth.
