Accident on highway claims 2 lives

Two young men are dead after a holiday traffic accident in Orange Walk on Saturday. Twenty four year old Javier Castellanos and 3 passengers Delroy Cecil Caliz, twenty-two; Ricardo Alamilla seventeen and eighteen year old Ryan Casimiro were travelling on the San Estevan Road after five p.m. when something apparently went wrong with their Mazda car between miles 2 and 3. When police arrived on the scene they found Caliz dead and the two other passengers injured. Castellanos, the driver, who was not at the site, was not found until Sunday morning some distance from the crash. Authorities speculate that he might have tried to walk away from the accident but succumbed to his injuries and died. Casimiro was treated and released from the hospital with a cut wound around his right eye, Alamilla has been transported to a hospital in Chetumal with back injuries. The only clue as to what might have caused this accident was the left front wheel was found completely broken off.
