Alcohol and drugs found in Malic’s body
Of course the case cannot rest on circumstantial evidence alone and Commissioner Brooks indicated that tests on Jackie’s body indicate she was immobilized at the time of her torture and murdered by a combination of alcohol and drugs.
Ornel Brooks, Commissioner of Police
“From our forensic laboratory findings the laboratory scientist has established that the blood alcohol content of Jackie Malic was 250kg above 100mg of blood fluid. This means that this was way above the point of sobriety particularly for a very young person. Our forensic expert has also confirmed the presence of Valium from the stomach content of Jackie Malic. That is again consistent with the desperate search by Williams.”
Brooks says that seminal fluid samples are currently being analyzed by the forensic lab in Belize to see if sperm is present. If this is the case samples will then be sent to the United States Federal Bureau of Investigations for DNA testing. He says the fluid is useless for DNA testing without the sperm. According to Brooks this is the extent of FBI assistance since the government feels confident about the investigative abilities of Belize’s police department. Brooks says that the similarities between the deaths of Jackie Malic and Sherilee Nicholas are still being examined and that Williams’ arrest does not mean the investigation is over. He says they are still working hard to solve the murder of Samantha Gordon and to locate Jay Blades. In other police news, Brooks says the Easter Weekend crime prevention program resulted in the arrest of over one hundred people for crimes ranging from smoking marijuana to theft and assault. He says police also believe that Mennonite Farmer Meno Penner is still alive, presumably in the hands of kidnappers. Brooks says they cannot comment further on the matter.
