Suspects picked up in Chinese shooting
Police now have four men in custody and are looking for a fifth in connection with the robbery and shooting death of Lee Yun Chong of Jasmin Street. Chong was shot after three masked men entered the grocery store Monday night. Despite the fact that the shopkeeper handed over some cash he was shot in the chest. His wife received a machete wound to the forehead. Chong died shortly after undergoing surgery at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. On Tuesday police picked up Alex Goff and Francis Pollard. They issued an all points bulletin for Carlos Escalante who handed himself in to police around seven p.m. Tuesday night. Kenrick Reneau remains at large. Once again the police are asking the public to call if they know the whereabouts of this individual. C.I.B. says during the course of their investigation additional information also led them to pick up David Sutherland. According to A.I.P. Simeon Alvarez no arrests have been made, they say they are hopeful that by Thursday charges will be brought against the men.
