B.T.B. and Air BnB Sign M.O.U. for Home-sharing

The Belize Tourism Board and Air BnB have signed a memorandum of understanding, establishing a mutual collaboration to promote home sharing in Belize as a part of the tourism product. The agreement aims to promote Belize as a world-class tourism destination. This allows for households in the various tourism destinations to open up their homes or vacant spaces to visiting tourists who prefer the home setting as their place of stay while here. Director of Tourism, Evan Tillett described the Air BnB experience as “not only about room stock generation; it is also moving towards the creation of authentic destination experiences, an area where Belize thrives and seeks to engage”.
