J.S. Espat employees arrested for theft
Two former employees of J.S. Espat Limited were arrested today for the theft of over twenty thousand dollars. According to police, cashier Martha Bowen is alleged to have misappropriated the sum of over eighteen thousand dollars in cash from February first to February eleventh. After internal investigations conducted by the company Fedrick Mortor a cash collector for J.S. Espat was also arrested. He is reported to have stolen over four thousand dollars on December twenty-third. Today Mortor appeared in Magistrate’s Court and was charged with one count of theft. He met bail of three thousand dollars. He is to reappear in court on April second. So far Bowen has not appeared in court and remains in police custody.
