Costa Rican Rural Youth Representative Says It’s Time to Invest
But, while the conversation is just being had, the Costa Rican Representative who led the session, Alexander Herrera, says it is time to put into action what has been discussed.
Alexander Herrera, Rep., Rural Youth & Inclusion, Central American Agriculture Council, Costa Rica
“Right now is the moment of giving opportunities to rural youth from the institutions and to make this bridge a clearer way between rural youths and institutions because there are services that are sometimes not very common to the young people and Belize is one country that is interested in this integration of the rural youth agenda. It’s also one of the eight countries that are part of this regional strategy, so for us it’s really important to collect information and collect the inputs from the rural youths but also from the institutions in order to get a really good proposal for this strategy, which will be from this year to the year 2030.”
