Double Head Cabbage Village Chairman’s Warehouse Set on Fire
On Monday, we featured the newly elected chairman of Double Head Cabbage Village, Roman McCulloch, after an independent slate led by him won the village council election. Well, tonight he is back in the news, but this time under more unfortunate circumstances. McCulloch’s warehouse, located on his property, was destroyed by fire and he believes it was arson. The incident happened on Wednesday. And, when we spoke with him today, he told us that he has his suspicions as to persons that may be behind this crime.
Roman McCulloch, Chairman, Double Head Cabbage
“Wednesday when I was at work between four fifteen and four thirty, I received a call from one of my friend. She said that your house is on fire and I was like what, which one of my house is on fire? She said the small one. I said, that is my storage house. I quickly called one of my cousins and told him to go over to my house quickly. When he got over there I called back and he said some people were already over there, my neighbors and good Samaritans from my village, trying to prevent my house from getting under fire. The storage house is like fifteen to twenty feet away from my house. When I get home it was on the meter of my house, the heat from the storage house melt the meter on my house. It is weird that my storage house burnt first and then the fire started to spread like a bush fire. So, I don’t think I will point finger as yet, let me see what the police has to say about that.”

“But, you have some suspicions at this point, I would imagine.”
Roman McCulloch, Chairman, Double Head Cabbage
“Yes I do.”
Paul Lopez
“What was inside?”
Roman McCulloch, Chairman, Double Head Cabbage
“The most important thing inside that bothers me it was a bed fifty plus years. That bed was for my mom. It was passed on from her grandmother. My mom changed her bed in 2016 and passed away in 2013. That was the only bed I remember her with.”

“Is there any possibility that you may have been targeted as a result of your recent victory?”
Roman McCulloch, Chairman, Double Head Cabbage
“As I said, I will leave that to the police to do their investigation.”
