Missing girl found dead

Reports reaching News Five late this evening are that the body of a girl has been found at the Santa Rita ruins in Corozal. Details are sketchy at this point but we understand that the child had been reported missing by her mother yesterday. Although News Five contacted Corozal police we were told we could not be given any information about the incident because the Officer in Charge was not present. This despite recent assurances by the Ministry of National Security that police in the districts were free to answer questions regarding specific crimes or operations posed by members of the media. News Five hopes to have additional details tomorrow.
