Go slow has little effect in Belize

Except for three days last week in which passengers had to be rerouted to other carriers, a go slow by American Airlines pilots in the U.S. appears not to have had much effect here in Belize. According to American’s local office, flights resumed today and the company was able to assist all those passengers last week whose flights were canceled. American says they do not anticipate any further difficulties. Although American only flies to Miami from Belize, its wide network of flights provides connections to many other U.S. cities and destinations in the Caribbean. For some Caribbean islands, the canceled flights may have had a more serious impact since American is the only carrier to those countries.
