“Panther” Charged for Concepcion Murder
Earlier today, Libertad villager Jermain Dion Zuniga was charged for the murder of Juan Arturo Mendez, which occurred in Concepcion Village on Sunday afternoon. The thirty-six-year-old construction worker was detained following the incident in which he allegedly hacked Mendez to death inside his own house before turning his attention to Wendy Mendez and chopping her multiple times to the head. Wendy remains hospitalized at this time at the Northern Regional Hospital. Reports are that the trio was embroiled in an argument on the day because Zuniga, who goes by the alias Panther, had overstayed his welcome at Arturo’s house in the village. It is during that exchange that Zuniga used a machete on the victims.
