Coastguard wasn’t called to assist with Cuban situation
Last night we reported that the vessel the Cubans used to travel to Belize was still lodged on the reef. And today, the Coastguard’s Admiral Cedric Borland says that is so because they were not called to respond to the situation out at the reef. The fourteen survivors were found walking on Maya King Farm on the mainland. Borland says that the Coastguard only needs ten minutes notice to move to locations across the coast of Belize whenever they receive distress calls.
