Cyclist injured in city accident
A bicyclist received minor injuries after he was knocked down Thursday night in Belize City. According to police around six forty five, twenty-one year old Benito Swazo was riding his bike on Racecourse Street, when a brown car, travelling in the opposite direction, knocked the young man down. The driver did not stop to assist but instead fled the scene. Swazo, who received minor scrapes and bruises, was treated at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and released. Unfortunately the young man told police he did not get the vehicle’s license plate number.
