Police Say Carl Reneau’s Murder was Gangland Retribution
Carl Reneau was executed on Faber’s Road Extension on Monday afternoon, as he rode his bicycle in the direction of Central American Boulevard. The thirty-three-year-old was shot multiple times and left for dead on the sidewalk. Despite being rushed to the K.H.M.H., Reneau expired while receiving emergency medical attention. But why was he rubbed out in such callous fashion? This afternoon, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams told us that Reneau’s murder may have been a reprisal for previous crimes he may have committed.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“We believe the one with Carl Reneau may have been gang-related and could also be a retaliation for previous incidents that he may have had with the law. And so, we have some suspects that we are looking at likewise, but again, it will be difficult, unless people who were around would speak. But you heard the interview of the family member yesterday, how they described him to be a bad, bad, bad man. At least that’s an honest one, right. He did not try to cover the behavior of the now deceased. But, as we have always said before, every life lost is a significant loss to a family and so, we will do our best to find out who is responsible and try to bring them to justice.”
