Prime Minister Siew thanked Belize’s Prime Minister for inviting him to visit Belize and spoke about the strong relations between the two countries.

Vincent C. Siew, Prime Minister, Taiwan

“We have just finished our two stops in Dominican Republic, Haiti, arrived two hours ago from Haiti. We are so much impressed by what we have been received, warmly by the Prime Minister and your people, since our arrival.

I must say I know this is a very brief stay here of only one day, twenty-four hours, but we are very much interested to see, take advantage of this very short stay to strengthen the tradition of friendly relations between our two countries. I would like to take this opportunity to express our very sincere thanks to the Belize Government and people for its longstanding support for our country in the international community.

In return, we reciprocate our appreciation and share our experiences in our national development. Our delegation, as well as the members of our people, we are very much anxious to see if we could explore more trade and investment opportunity during our stay here in order to strengthen the existing friendly ties between our two countries.”
