Man being sought in death of Stann Creek woman

Stann Creek police are looking for a man they believe was involved in the murder of a Guatemalan woman in San Juan Village on Boxing Day. Luis Roches is wanted in connection with the death of Norma Juarez whose body was found on the night of the twenty-sixth just yards from her home with a large stab wound to her neck. Police say so far their investigation reveals that Luis Roches had seen Norma Juarez earlier that day on a bicycle with Jose Luis Duarte, a neighbor. Witnesses told police Roches pulled Juarez off the bike, beat her up and threatened her verbally. Roches, a Honduran laborer from Red Bank Village, is reportedly the father of Juarez’ five month old baby.
