San Pedro woman wins Belize Bank raffle

But the Belize Bank is not only concerned with the receivership of the Fiesta Inn and today the staff celebrated its customers by greeting the winner of their Action Plan Loan raffle. Iracela Acosta went to the Belize Bank branch in San Pedro in September to get a loan to buy a golf cart. This month she won the grand prize of two round trip tickets to Miami, two nights hotel accommodation plus one thousand U.S. dollars to go on a shopping spree.

“I didn’t expect this at all. I didn’t have any idea I was going to win. I was excited and I thank God I had that luck.

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and wish them luck in next year. Anybody can win the same thing just like me.”

Acosta says she will take the trip in August of next year and she will take a family member with her on her shopping spree. The Belize Bank raffle began in September. Three other customers have won computers.
