Performers form Young Artists Association
A number of young Belizean performers have formed the Young Artists Association. The Y.A.A., which was formed through the initiative of William Neal, says their goal is to heighten social conscience through the performing arts. Members include Hench Mob, Essence, Untestables, PAWS and D.M. Deez who will be performing at several upcoming events.
Harrison August, Member, Y.A.A.
“In the near future we have a show at Planet Hollywood this Thursday. We will be showcasing all members of Y.A.A. On the twenty-third we have a concert at Hattieville Prison. Then on the twenty-sixth we will be moving to the City Centre. On the twenty-eight we have a show to do at the Youth Academy in Ladyville. Those are the plans for the near future. This year we will end with a bang.”
Proceeds of the events will go towards the Cancer Society and painting over the pediatric ward at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
