All Saints School fundraiser to repair building
The school was established fifty years ago and it is now bursting at the seams. We are talking about All Saints Primary on Dunn Street in Belize City which needs your help for urgent refurbishing of the building. The school is extending an invitation to everyone to their banquet this Friday night which aims to do more than just provide fun. All Saints has a list of priority needs and the money raised will be invested in those areas. One of the organizers of the banquet, Teacher Annie Palacio, told News Five just how they plan to meet the expenses, which amount to almost twenty-five thousand dollars.
Annie Palacio, Teacher, All Saints Primary
“We are trying to repaint all our buildings. We are trying to also open up a bigger lunch unit for our children. We were supposed to be taking care of twenty children; we’re now taking care of a hundred plus children so we need a bigger building. We also want to take off the infant one building and make it into a bigger and brighter building for the little kids when they come in for September. And we’re hoping that if you cannot make it, all alumni of All Saints we’re trying to get you to contribute. Our tickets are thirty dollars single, fifty dollars for the couple. It’s going to be a banquet where it’s an ambience of pure love. We started off February with love; we’re ending it with love. It’s a place where it’s for the young and young at heart. We’ll be having nice slow romantic music, we’ll be having dinner, we’ll be having dessert, we’ll be having drinks, we’ll be having entertainment, we’ll be having a band. So it will be a time for us to be stress free on the last working day of the month.”

“What’s the target figure?”
Annie Palacio
“Well, we’re hoping to get at least ten to fifteen thousand dollars. That’s our target figure. If we can go over that, that would be perfect.”
The event starts at eight on Friday night at the Belize Elementary School Auditorium off Mercy Lane in Belize City.
