Suspects in prison killing still silent
Police and prison officials continue to investigate the murder of a locked down inmate at Hattieville prison Tuesday night. Today a postmortem revealed that twenty-five year old convict Osmani Guerra of Orange Walk died as a result of strangulation caused by several stab wounds. Authorities believe that Guerra was killed by his three cellmates: Albert Broaster, Leroy Flowers and Mark Stuart. In addition to inflicting the fatal punctures Guerra’s killers also managed to amputate his right arm at the elbow. Word is that the three suspects, who have each been transferred to solitary confinement, are maintaining their silence and police have yet to file charges. If nobody talks the case may be an interesting one for the court system, which will have to decide beyond a reasonable doubt who committed the crime. Whether or not any or all three suspects will ever swing from the gallows, it seems pretty certain that they will not see freedom for quite a while…unless, that is, they happen to escape.
