NEMO issues advisories

To assist the public with their plans for their businesses and families the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) issued several bulletins today. Among these was the announcement that several cayes including Caye Caulker and San Pedro are being evacuated and people in low lying coastal areas, low lying planes and near rivers are being asked to relocate inland. For a smooth evacuation of these areas the public is asked to remain calm and monitor official weather broadcasts on radio and television stations, secure their private residences and motor vehicles and boats and to move only with essential belongings.
